Final Paper Draft

Obesity
The word ''Obesity'' means the excessive accumulation of body fat and the imbalance between the food intake and the utilization of food. It is a common disease in the world. Also, it seriously sweeps through and spreads in the U.S.A. There are a lot of factors which cause the development of Obesity. Moreover, it can also appear at any ages, and it's more common to happen among females than among males. In America, there are a lot of families showing the increase of tendency to gaining weight, eating habits & use of medication. Obesity can lead to a life-long threatening disease. There are 3 types of obesity: Generic Obesity, Eating Habits Obesity and Obesity Related to Diseases. There are many ways to avoid and prevent ourselves from suffering from Obesity. This paper is going to discuss about genetic obesity, personal habits and how to prevent diseases.
Obesity is a major topic to write about, and there are a lot of studies and researches done on obesity and its causes by scientists around the world, because it contributes in many diseases like diabetes and heart disease. Also, there are a lot of obese people. Like in the United States, there is more than 60 million adult who are obese about 20 percent. (Obesity, Genetic Factors).
There are problems between scientists regarding genetic factors that cause or more than the risk of obesity. Obesity runs in families and it may have a genetic cause. However, family members share not only genes but also diet and lifestyle habits that may help to obesity. Detailing these lifestyle factors from genetic ones is often difficult.
A discovery in the scientific field explained why some people become overweight and others don’t. It was all related to the discovery of a gene known as FTO. (Obesity Gene Discovered).
So for furthermore researches, scientists are planning to find other groups who have the FTO variant outside Europe. The South Asians and black American are more prevalent for diabetes and obesity than other population, so scientists are planning to study their DNA. (Obesity Gene Discovered).
FTO is known to play a role in the hypothalamus, which regulates appetite. The study didn’t help them work out the biological mechanism behind the FTO gene and weight control, so they suspect it has to do with the regulation. (Obesity Gene Discovered).
Genetic factors play a major role in obesity or injury of individual effects. The influence of environmental factors, such as a lack of physical exercise and poor nutrition in the emergence of the effects of obesity or its properties. The factors that can be changed, they include diet may result in a slight increase in the amount of food that is eaten per capita every day to obesity in the long term.( The Real Cause of Obesity).
A sport also affects the part of body fat and improves the psychological status. May proven that the practice of sport can eliminate gradually the risk of heart disease, high blood pressure, obesity, and diabetes. (The Real Cause of Obesity).
They found a formation of this gene, after that, a scientist give advices to patients about diet. A new treatment of obesity in the near future. Even then, diet and food remain the most important part of patient care in this area. (The Real Cause of Obesity).
Genetics does not cause obesity. However, obesity and genetics are closely tied together. So the answer for the problem of obesity which is going by the idea that it is the matter of genetics, clearly, everyone should adopt a heart-healthy diet and increase their physical activity as part of a healthy lifestyle. (The Real Cause of Obesity).
Obesity because of eating a lot of food, this type spreads in children make children open appetite to eat after that the children threatening life obesity. The proportion of obese children is more in the world. There are many factors in the spread of obesity is the most important: poor eating habits of eating large amounts of food and Exercise sports. (Obesity in Children and Teens).
Obesity has a deep effect on a child's life. Obesity increases the child's risk of numerous health problems. Obese children are also more likely to be obese as adults, increasing their risk of serious health problems such as heart disease and stroke. (Obesity in Children And Teens).
Obesity in America is widespread. The Government must run an announcement shows the riskiness of Obesity. The government should put health insurances to all patients. Scientists have proved that obesity is the disease which is spreading recently. So, should discover effective treatment of obesity to stop spreading it. (Is obesity a disease).
Obesity is a problem for millions of users in the world. 66% Of people in the United States per statistics for more than 20 years of age is overweight is identified. In fact, obesity can lead to many diseases such as Diabetic, high blood pressure, heart disease, depression, low self-value and social stigmatization. Sometimes, however, it may be disease, obesity, hypothyroidism, polycystic ovarian syndrome-syndrome, property.  Although many people may be familiar with many of the diseases associated with obesity. So, we must examine the patient's disease.
There is also another disease lead to obesity, ovarian. This is one of the most common female hormonal diseases that produce symptoms in about 5-10% of reproductive age between 12 and 45. Patient may come to a doctor with the symptom as menstrual disorders, infertility, weight gain, finally can led to diabetic. (Blass, Elliot. 20-25).
Symptoms and signs of hypothyroidism are different from patient to patient depending on the severity. At the beginning, I noticed that the patient has difficulty, and then begin to have other symptoms, increased sensitivity to cold, constipation, dry skin, puffy face, hoarse voice, high levels of cholesterol, unexplained weight gain, muscle pain, tenderness, and stiffness, pain, stiffness or swelling in the joints of your blood, muscle weakness, heavier than normal menstrual periods, brittle nails and hair, depression. I can diagnose this patient thyroid function tests, then you can give them to treat thyroid tablet to use it for a lifetime. (To the most common Disease that leads to Obesity is hypothyroidism).
However, there are many diseases can lead to obesity, we discuss with you there that is common in the world, such as depression, many syndromes affecting the child. What I want to say we must diagnose the obese people to prevent disease.
Treatment of obesity may contain a combination of diet, exercise, behavior Modification, and sometimes weight loss drug. A combination of diet and physical activity may be more effective conservation of weight than diet and exercise only in adults. Types of physical activity are not important. (Blass, Elliot. 20-25).In some cases of severe obesity, gastrointestinal surgery may be recommended.
The reduction of obesity and weight control is a continuous effort and can include a number of significant changes in eating habits, exercise routines and the general way of life. That's a lot of evidence that people grow overweight and obesity, incorporating lifestyle changes should be maintained for a longer period for the benefit of the first mass. The combination of reduced food intake and increased physical activity are more likely to lead to lasting weight loss. (Blass, Elliot. 20-25).
As already mentioned, including the treatment of obesity and long term weight management is the number one element. Here are some of the most important ways in which the issues are addressed. Changes in behavior and behavioral skills in nutrition and physical activity habits will change to avoid weight gain is often used.
Sessions include all members of the family not all members of each consultant of behavioral consultation (including in the prevention of obesity in children is used).
Family therapy is more effective than the conventional system and the movement to prevent the weight does gain not necessarily for children. High in calories and low volume should avoid foods and replaced by the growth of complex carbohydrates and an increase in fruits and vegetables. The low-calorie diet is not recommended for children, and they are not effective.
It is more efficient, less life rather than simply try to stimulate activity. A collection of daily physical activity should be a key, if at least 30 minutes five times a week is difficult to identify. (Blass, 20-25).
Polished, regular physical activity can lead to results. This type of exercise is not important and short periods of hiking can use several cumulatively. (Blass, Elliot. 20-25).
About the treatment of the obesity it will be successful if create it for long time. The goal to loss weight is exercise and eating healthy diet. There is many method to decrease weight that is depend on level of obesity. That method includes: diet change, exercise, prescribe weight loss drug, and surgery.
Diet change: We can change the weight by decrease calorie intake that can measure it by dietitian. Also by eating healthy food like fruit, vegetables, and low fat diet.
Exercise: Exercise is important part to loss weight. It will be enough if they do it 20 minute there times per week. (Treatments and drugs).
Prescribe weight loss drug: Some time the people need medication to loss weight but they must to do exercise & decrease intake with it. Xenical one of the drug that used to loss weight by decrease absorption of fat from stomach and intestine. (Treatments and drugs).
Surgery:  the last method to loss weight is surgery with indication that BMI is 35 or more. There is different type of surgery like:
Gastric sleeve; remove part of stomach.
Gastric bypass: the surgeon do small pouch on the top of the stomach and connect this pouch with intestine. (Treatments and drugs). In fact, there is other type but that’s the common used.
How to prevent weight regain after obesity treatment: Unfortunately, its common to gain with after loss it but you can prevent that by saving time to do regular exercise that is 20 min there to four time per week and eat healthy diet. (Treatments and drugs).
I believe that obesity is a very dangerous disease. Obesity is fast becoming a global epidemic, as the number of people seriously obese continues to grow. This condition raises the risk of injury is much higher than the weight of people they suffer an accident, surgery, or hospitalization as a direct result of your weight. Scientific data clearly indicate that obesity increases the risk of human injuries. And there are 3 types of obesity: Generic Obesity, Eating Habits Obesity and Obesity Related to Diseases, and the cause of each type of obesity, and treatment of obesity (diet, exercise sport, and surgery). I advise people to stay away from obesity because it is a deadly disease.

Preparation for the interview

I met Ahamd at my apartment and I made an arabic dinner for him. After dinner we drove to campus to the SCSU library to talk about the question I came up with for Ahamd. our conversation was successful since I learned a lot of about Ahamd country. I was surprised with the information he provided me with.

How did you approach people?

At last I was very undecided who to interview and it was hard to find someone interesting. A cousin of mine mentioned to me that he know a guy from Egypt and I quickly became interested being that Egypt is a country I have always been interested in.

Whom did you interview?

I interviewed Ahamad Abbas, a 22 years old young man who is from Egypt.

When, where, and how did you conduct and record the interview?
On November 19th Ahamd and I went to the library at around 8:00 P.M. I took my note pad and pen with me so I could write down notes and the answers to the questions I had.

Personal Review
It was really nice interview. I was really excited to know about all the things that Ahamd had to say. I wasn’t really worried about the interview because there was a lot of new information. He informed me with many things I did not know about his culture in his country.

Country Report

"Egypt is located in Northern Africa, bordering the Mediterranean Sea, between Libya and

the Gaza Strip, and the Red Sea north of Sudan, and includes the Asian Sinai Peninsula.

Egypt is the most populous country in the Arab world and the second-most populous on the

African Continent. Nearly all of the country’s 79 million people live in Cairo and Alexandria;

elsewhere on the banks of the Nile; in the Nile delta, which fans out north of Cairo; and

along the Suez Canal. These regions are among the world’s most densely populated, containing

an average of over 3,820 persons per square mile (1,540 per sq km), as compared

to 181 persons per sq mi for the country as a whole.

Egypt borders the Mediterranean Sea to the north, the Gaza Strip and Israel to the northeast,

the Red Sea to the east, Sudan to the south, and Libya to the west.

The great majority of its estimated 82 million live near the banks of the Nile River, in an

area of about 40,000 sq km (15,000 sq m), where the only arable agricultural land is found.

The large areas of the Sahara Desert are sparsely inhabited. About half of Egypt’s residents

live in urban areas, with the majority spread across the densely populated centres of greater

Cairo, Alexandria, and other major cities in the Nile Delta.

Egypt is famous for its ancient civilisation and some of the world’s most famous monuments,

including the Giza pyramid complex and its Great Sphinx. The southern city of Luxor contains

numerous ancient artefacts, such as the Karnak Temple and the Valley of the Kings.

Egypt is widely regarded as an important political and cultural nation of the Middle East.

Egypt, sometimes referred to as the ‘Motherland of the World’ and the ‘Land of Civilisations,’

is famous throughout the world for its ancient civilisation and 7,000-year history along

the Nile River. It is an important political and cultural centre of the Middle East."
